H.E. Mr. Nibras Mohammed Taleb, CEO of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), received H.E. Mr. Ardi Hermawan, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The CEO stressed the commitment to enhancing coordination with the Republic of Indonesia in the labour and economic fields, noting the importance of cooperation of diplomatic missions with government entities in raising awareness amongst expatriate workers on their rights and duties along with the regulations and laws that must be observed.

During the meeting, the CEO reviewed the efforts exerted to develop laws and legislations to maintain a suitable work environment that reinforces stability, justice and fairness for all work parties, pointing to the launch of a number of initiatives to enhance the work environment, such as the Labour Registration Program, the Optional Insurance System for Domestic Workers, and the Wages Protection System.
