The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) with the relevant government entities continue to intensify joint efforts to activate regulatory tools to address illegal practices in the labour market.
The Authority announced the implementation of five joint inspection campaigns, which resulted in reporting a number of violations related to Labour Market and Residency Laws in the Kingdom of Bahrain and others. The cases were referred for legal action.
The Authority pointed out that two joint inspection campaigns were carried out in coordination with the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Evidence in the Capital Governorate, while the third campaign was implemented in the Capital Governorate in partnership with the Sentence Enforcement Directorate at the Ministry of Interior.
The fourth campaign was conducted in the Northern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s respective Police Directorate and the fifth campaign was undertaken in coordination with the North Area Municipality and the Governorate’s respective Police Directorate.
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority renewed its call on all members of society to support the efforts of government agencies to address illegal practices in the labor market and informal employment to protect society as a whole, calling on community members to report any complaints related to labor market violations and irregular employment by filling out the electronic form designated for reporting on the official website of the Authority www.lmra.gov.bh or calling the Authority’s call centre 17506055.
