The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Ministry of Interior and the government related entities continue their joint efforts to intensify inspection campaigns against illegal practices in the Labour Market, in order to preserve a competitive, fair, and stable labour market.
LMRA announced it had conducted five joint inspection campaigns resulted in reporting violations related to the Labour Market and Residency laws. The cases were referred for legal action.
Two campaigns were held in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence of the Ministry of Interior in the Capital and the Northern Governorates. The third campaign was carried out in the Capital Governorate in coordination with the Sentence Enforcement Directorate at the Ministry of Interior.
The Fourth Campaign was conducted in the Muharraq Governorate in coordination with Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) and the Governorate’s Police Directorate, as for the Fifth campaign in the Southern Governorate, it was coordinated with Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
LMRA renewed its call to all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by calling the authority’s call centre on 17506055.
