The Labour Market Regulatory Authority confirmed that it has started administrative and legal proceedings related to what has been circulated on social media platforms regarding the failure of a private company in the Kingdom of Bahrain to pay the wages of its workers and the failure to provide an appropriate work environment.

LMRA indicated that a task-force has been formed to follow up on what has been published and communicate with all the employees concerned, in addition to registering the necessary labour claims. Moreover, an investigation is underway to verify the suspicion of forced labour.

Coordination and communication with the concerned authorities is underway to complete the procedures followed in such complaints.
