A US congress delegation has visited the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Expat Protection Center (EPC), to learn about its role, work mechanism and facilities as the first comprehensive center to accommodate victims or potential victims of trafficking. It also provides technical and advisory services to expatriate workers.
The delegation was briefed on the most prominent developments in the labour market, details of projects and initiatives, mechanisms for developing work permits in Bahrain with the aim of maintaining a stable and balanced work environment that guarantees the rights of national and expatriate workers and contributes to achieving rapid growth in the market.
LMRA said it will continue to enhance efforts and endeavors to review and evaluate all aspects of work related to labour files and issues, in an effort to provide an appropriate healthy work environment within the framework of protection.
