LMRA Conducts Joint Inspection Campaign in Northern Government
The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted a joint inspection campaign in the Northern Governorate, in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior and the Northern Governorate Police Directorate. In accordance with the intensive plan to tighten dealing with violators from employers and expatriate employees, which included a number of work sites in the Northern Governorate.
The inspection campaign resulted in the detection of a series of violations related to LMRA Law and the Residence Law in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Necessary legal measures have been taken against offenders.
The intensive inspection campaigns conducted by LMRA with partners, led by the Ministry of Interior, aims to activate the control tools that ensure the stability of the labour market, and preserve an organized labour market by eliminating the illegal workers.
LMRA reiterated the importance of the role of the community in supporting the government’s efforts to address any violations related to the labour market. It called on the public to report any complaints related to violations of the labour market by contacting the LMRA Call Centre 17506055.
