His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a cable of congratulations from the Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), and Chairman of the National Committee for Combating Trafficking in Persons, HE Jamal Abdulaziz Al Alawi, on the occasion of Bahrain maintaining a Tier 1 Status in the US Department of State Trafficking in Persons Report for the fifth consecutive year.
HE Al Alawi noted that the Tier Status 1, the highest annual international rating in this field, continues to be considered an outstanding achievement within the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
HE Al Alawi commended HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s farsighted vision and role in supporting Bahrain’s international status in this field, which has highlighted the Kingdom as a role model for the adoption of best practices and policies that combat human trafficking.
HE Al Alawi highlighted that the Tier Status 1 accorded to the Kingdom of Bahrain for the fifth consecutive year is a recognition of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s efforts, directives and projects that further strengthen the Kingdom’s fight against human trafficking and put in place sustainable mechanisms to protect human rights.
