Chief Executive of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking in Persons (NCCTIP), Ausamah bin Abdulla Al-Absi,, today held a round table discussion with the fifth intake of the First Deputy Prime Minister’s (FDPM) Fellowship.
The CEO noted that the fellowship aims to realise HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister’s vision for Bahrain’s youth by upskilling them to meet new opportunities, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development led by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He emphasised that connecting learning experiences to opportunities cultivates a generation of young leaders.
He gave a briefing on the authority’s scope of work in regulating Bahrain’s labour market, which further improves labour market efficiency and increases its competitiveness. He also paid particular attention to the authority’s works in promoting and protecting the rights of migrant workers.
The fifth intake of the FDPM Fellowship expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the CEO and praised the LMRA for its efforts to combat trafficking in persons.
