HE Labour Minister and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) Mr. Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan visited the headquarters of LMRA on Thursday, where he visited Domestic expatriate employees and their equivalents work permit offices, accompanied by LMRA CEO Mr. Ausamah Bin Abdullah Alabsi, and a number of LMRA and Ministry officials.
The Minister of Labour listened to a detailed explanation about the procedures and services provided by LMRA to facilitate and speed up the issuance of licenses for domestic expatriate employees.
He expressed his happiness for the easy strain of the procedures for the issuance of domestic expatriate employees work permits, praising LMRA efforts and contribution for facilitating it to the citizens and residents.
Minister Humaidan said that the actions taken by LMRA represents a quantum leap that allows families who uses domestic expatriate employees and their equivalents more facility and reduces the time it takes for licensing and renewal, especially transactions and applications become available through six distributed outlets in the various provinces.
His Excellency the Minister on his visit met a number of citizens and authorized persons, where he listened to their comments and suggestions with regard to the flexibility of services.
The Minister confirmed that the government trends require the provision of more facilities in the transaction, which belongs to the citizens and businessmen, all government agencies are working on the development of their procedures by listening to the comments and suggestions of the beneficiaries of these services.
It is noted that LMR began to issue licenses for domestic expatriate employees early September after taking over this responsibility from the Ministry of Labour.
LMRA held an agreement with the Ministry of Transportation to provide domestic expatriate employees work permits issuing services through five post offices in order to expand the facilities provided by LMRA for public clients and to achieve greater flexibility in the LMRA services, where clients can submit applications from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM in four post offices of the total of the five post offices, six days a week, including Saturday, while the offices disrupted in providing the service on Friday, LMRA receives in its headquarters domestic expatriate employees work permits in official working hours from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM five days a week, where the Authority has completed all the necessary supplies to receive applications. Post offices, which will provide the service six days a week are: a Isa Town post office, Hamad Town post office, Riffa post office, Budaiya post office, where Al Hidd post office provides service from Sunday to Thursday from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
