The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)’s CEO Ausama bin Abdullah Al-Absi received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) to the Kingdom of Bahrain Li Chen who was accompanied with the Chinese Consul Jin Hui.

The two sides explored ways and means of cooperation regarding the issuance of labour permits for Chinese nationals in Bahrain in addition to terms and procedures for recruitment of expatriate manpower in Bahrain. Al-Absi presented a detailed overview to the Chinese Ambassador regarding LMRA reform project and the steps accomplished in this respect.

The Chinese Ambassador said that he was looking forward to cooperation on labour and various matters through the Chinese Embassy in Bahrain.

The Chinese Ambassador expressed his admiration and appreciation vis-à-vis the fair and just labour policies, respecting of rights of foreign workers in Bahrain, speedy transactions, easy procedures, comprehensive labour reforms as well as advanced services provided by the LMRA to workers and employers.
