The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) has won the e-government shield awards for the best interactive (FACEBOOK) social networking website in the Arab world organized by the Arab Organization for Administrative Development (ARADO) which is one of the Arab League’s affiliated organizations.The organization has announced in association with the Internet Awards Academy in the Arab region the LMRA has won the e-government shield award in the category of official and governmental authorities in its third edition.
The LMRA CEO Osama bin Abdullah Al-Absi is expected to receive the prize during a ceremony scheduled to be conducted for this purpose in Sharm Al-Sheikh next September as part of honoring the organizations that won similar awards in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.
The arbitration panel for the award stated that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s LMRA has absolutely deservedly won the award in the category of governmental and quasi-governmental organizations in view of its transparency and maximum interactivity of LMRA’s FACEBOOK website and its interaction with the public without any obstacles or barriers, gleaning public opinion, studying proposals made by the public in order to constantly improve and develop the LMRA services and to satisfy clientele requirements.
On the other hand, LMRA CEO Osama bin Abdullah Al-Absi expressed delight on the occasion of the LMRA’s winning the award and ascribed this success to the wise government directives aimed at keeping in constant touch and interaction with citizens and the unlimited support provided to the LMRA from the Supreme National IT Commission presided over by deputy premier HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and support from the honorable government as well as the efforts constantly being exerted by the LMRA’s staff members.
Al-Absi considered the award as a challenging start on the road to attain excellence which puts on the LMRA shoulders the onus of maintaining its momentum and to avail from opportunities for improvement of its performance,and to boost interaction with the community to the highest degree of partnership.
