Capital Club, Bahrain’s premier private business club, recently hosted an evening with the Indian Ambassador, His Excellency Dr. Mohan Kumar, providing club members and guests a unique opportunity to participate in an exclusive interactive session which highlighted the excellent and cordial bilateral trade and investment ties enjoyed by India and Bahrain.
Moderated by Mr. Ausamah Al Absi, the Executiive Director of the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), fellow Club Member and Chairman of the Events Committee, the discussion focused on further solidifying the long standing bi-lateral and economic relations between the two countries.
As part of the session, leading Indian businessman, Mr. Bob Thaker, Managing Director of National Trading House, and an active member of the Bhatia community, delivered a presentation on the history of business relations between the two countries.
Having carried out business operations for the past fifty years in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr. Thaker stressed that increasing trade and investments are key attributes that will help foster stronger economic cooperation between the two economies.
Bahrain has been a key player in transit trade to and from the Gulf region to the subcontinent of India.
