The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) yesterday issued a joint statement with Tamkeen stating that there are no variations or “missing amounts” in the financial accounts of Tamkeen. LMRA and Tamkeen stressed in the statement that there was no scope for missing amounts because of the developed financial accounting systems that they use. LMRA Chief Executive Officer Ausamah Al Absi said that all of Tamkeen’s money until the end of 2012 has been fully transferred.

One of the local newspapers had stated that there was a variation in the numbers that the LMRA transferred to Tamkeen. Mr Al Absi said that the report lacked accuracy.
