TWO Bahrainis accused of forging and selling visas appeared before the High Criminal Court yesterday
The defendants, a man and a woman, were caught when a person who bought a visa submitted it to the General Directorate of Nationality, Residence and Passports.
An official raised the alarm when he saw that the visa was for a Bangladeshi labourer, but the passport attached was for an Indian, the court heard.
A witness said he bought the visa in good faith, thinking the defendants were agents legally allowed to provide visas. The court adjourned the case to November 4 to issue a verdict.
